International Peace Day
Thank you to all our children for their enthusiasm for this and for the lovely ideas they have shared.
Our September value is Peace and on Thursday in assembly we thought about International Peace Day and how it came about. Some of our Year 4 children read out what children from different countries, some of whom experienced war, feel peace means to them.
Additionally, children at The Firs have been thinking about what peace means to them, including how we demonstrate our Peace Value in school, and in our lives.
They have been recording those ideas and creating pictures and 3d doves for our display outside the school.
