Christmas Performances
Four Christmas Nativities, a violin performance, Saplings Pre-school music concert, Goldilocks Panto and a magician - Christmas is definitely coming!
It was great to be able to return to our ‘normal’ and full programme of Christmas Performances this term and after all the efforts children and staff have made in rehearsals, it was very rewarding to have the hall packed with parents / carers enjoying the performances again!
The children were so excited last week and couldn’t wait to perform and in addition to this, all the children, including Year 4 and older children from Saplings, really enjoyed coming into the hall to watch the dress rehearsals!
A huge thank you to all of you for helping with the wonderful costumes, practising lines and for giving up your time to join us for the performances.
Saplings Christmas Performance
Our Saplings Pre-school children also held their own performance, singing a selection of Christmas songs for their audience of parents, grandparents and siblings. For many this would have been their first experience of performing to an audience, and they did so well. You could hear from the clapping and cheers at the end that their audience had been truly entertained.
Well done Saplings!
Violin Performance
On Wednesday 14th our young violin and viola players entertained us with a selection of music that they have been practising this term.
They gave a fantastic performance, and it was a great opportunity to congratulate them on their performance and their skills and to say thank you to Mrs Perry, the fantastic peripatetic teacher who has, for many years, helped our young players to achieve musical excellence!
PTFA Funded Panto and Magician
Our amazing PTFA funded a superb pantomime that the children really enjoyed as part of our Christmas build up.
It was a fantastic experience for our Year R,1,2,3,4 children and really contributed to the fun during our performance week last week.
Our Saplings Pre-school didn't miss out on the festive fun, they had their own afternoon of entertainment with Cheeky Dog, with their parents invited along to enjoy the show.
Thank you to the PTFA for both this and all the other amazing events and opportunities they have organised for the school community this term.
Thank you to everyone who has been involved in our 'Performance Week', from the children, staff, PTFA and parents, everyone has worked together and created something really quite special!
